Common Evening Primrose is an easy to grow native wildflower, perfect for that corner of your outdoor garden that is giving you trouble. It is a useful choice for the survival garden as an edible plant, medicinal herb, and beneficial native wildflower.
Not to be confused with the pink perennial evening primrose (pinkladies) that grow low to the ground, this biennial plant sends up a tall spike of yellow flowers that fully open in the evening and emit a sweet fragrance. In addition to being a reliable source of food for many bee, butterfly, bird, hummingbird, and night pollinator species, it is also the host plant for the Primrose moth.
