Jersey Wakefield Cabbage is an heirloom cabbage from 1840 that produces tight, conical heads that reach 5-7" and 3-5 pounds. This variety performs well in the summer but overwinters well also. Good for sprouting indoors as microgreens.

• Conical Heads - Jersey Wakefield is an unusually shaped cabbage that produces tight, cone-shaped heads that average around 3-5 pounds apiece and 5-7” around. Jersey Wakefield’s has good wrapper leaves as protection and has a small core, making it more tender than round cabbages.
• Old Heirloom - An American gardening favorite since 1840 its introduction in Jersey City, this open-pollinated variety performs very well in summer, but overwinters well, also. It is a favorite in northern areas with cooler weather. Its sweeter leaves are tasty both cooked and eaten raw.
