• Attractive & Edible - Red Amaranth is a large, beautiful plant that creates lovely flowers and reaches up to 6 feet tall. It can do double duty in the garden as a decorative and edible plant, and will attract beneficial pollinators to the garden.
• Grain & Greens - As an edible crop, amaranth produces both grains and greens for eating. The burgundy seed heads produce nutritious grain that is rich in fiber, manganese, iron, and protein. The leaves can be harvested to eat, being most tender at the young stage but more flavorful as they mature. Amaranth seeds are also well suited to sprouting as microgreens.
